Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area I doodled my way into graphics arts – in those days it was either commercial art or technical art college courses. After working at a “real job” doing operations, customer service and outside sales in the airline industry for the next ten years, I came full circle back to doodling with paper. Making note cards was my first way to ‘use up’ my growing collection of washi and origami papers and the washi paper art collages snowballed from there.
I have since realized that all my other work experience contributed to the start of my business, Pomegranate Designs, where work is still fun and rewarding after 20 years. Since a pomegranate has hundreds of seeds, seeds of ideas, I liken this to a vast amount of creations.
Inspiration for these art pieces come from extensive travels, my environment, and the effect I wish to bring into play. How do you feel when you view my pieces? Since choosing art is an emotional and personal process, I hope these designs can fit what you wish to express as a gift to a loved one, in your home décor or as a reflection of yourself. |
